At United Way of Forsyth & Dawson Counties, we strengthen our community through collaboration, service, and support. We bring nonprofits, businesses, government, schools, funders, and community leaders together to address the most pressing challenges facing our neighbors in Forsyth and Dawson Counties.
Using local data, community voice, and the ALICE framework, we identify emerging needs, invest resources where they can have the greatest impact, and build partnerships that create lasting solutions.
Our role extends far beyond traditional grantmaking. We tackle community challenges by investing in proven solutions, connecting people to resources, and mobilizing volunteers where they are needed most. At the same time, we invest in strengthening the nonprofit organizations our community relies on—building their leadership, capacity, and sustainability so they can serve more people and create greater impact.
We believe strong communities require strong nonprofits and strong partnerships. Through our Nonprofit Leadership Collective, capacity-building initiatives, community investments, and cross-sector partnerships, we are building a more coordinated and resilient network of organizations equipped to meet today’s needs and prepare for tomorrow’s challenges.
