Moultrie, Colquitt Co. organizations partner to help the homeless population during freezing temperatures

MOULTRIE, Ga. (WALB) – One organization in Moultrie is going the extra mile to make sure those experiencing homelessness stay comfortable this week.

Due to 20-degree weather across South Georgia, United Way of Colquitt Co. and Moultrie city leaders were prompted to shelter the homeless population in the local Town Terrace hotel.

For the next six nights, Town Terrace will house almost 30 people experiencing homelessness. This was made possible, due to the partnership between the City of Moultrie, United Way of Colquitt Co. and Colquitt Regional Hospital.
